Communication on the Hinchingbrooke Next Steps projects

Dear Friend,

A Happy New Year! We are delighted to send you this quick update from the Strategic Projects Team.

Fresh off the press

You may like to know that the second edition of Next Steps News has just been published; simply click here to see a copy.

The newsletter's content was directly shaped by its readers, the patients, staff, carers and other stakeholders with a real interest in securing a bright future for Hinchingbrooke hospital. Readers wanted to know more about the objectives underpinning changes at the hospital, how any new management would be scrutinised and how the franchise will work in practice, for example.

The newsletter's release marks the launch of a second wave of public engagement activities. To find out more see the press release by clicking here.

Fancy winning a £25 voucher for Amazon or M&S?

This newsletter poses some new questions that we'd love your feedback on, including: “How do you think the buildings at the hospital could be put to better use?” and “what are the three most important things for you, in relation to the services at Hinchingbrooke?”. Responses to these will be considered by the Hinchingbrooke Next Steps project board and put to potential partners.

And there's an incentive.....every completed questionnaire that we receive will be put into a hat, and a lucky winner plucked out on 31st March as this second wave of public involvement draws to a close.

And now there are six.....

We are pleased to tell you that six organisations have just been shortlisted to operate Hinchingbrooke Healthcare NHS Trust. Hinchingbrooke is making history as the first Trust for which both NHS and Independent Sector providers have been invited to apply for such a unique operating franchise in the NHS.
